GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) studied in laboratory models for its interactions with copper ion transport and its influence on fibroblast signaling pathways. Research has examined GHK-Cu in cell-culture models investigating extracellular matrix remodeling, collagen and metalloproteinase gene expression, and wound-model tissue-repair signaling.
